Terms and Conditions

These Terms of Use govern your access to our financial education services. When you subscribe to our financial education platform, you must accept these Terms of Use in order for your access to be validated and processed properly. The company providing the services will only agree to analyze your platform subscription request if you accept these Terms of Use. Despite compliance with these Terms of Use, the company providing the services has no obligation to accept your access request. Acceptance or rejection of your platform access and maintenance of continuous access is at the sole discretion of the company providing the services. A debtor’s account may be deactivated at any time, at the exclusive discretion of the company providing the services, with no damages applicable against the company providing the services. These Terms of Use are in addition to any other applicable contract between the parties and remain valid throughout the subscription service granted by the company providing the services.

WHO CAN SUBSCRIBE TO OUR SERVICES?

You must be at least 18 years old and not be considered incompetent or under guardianship.

The purpose of your request for access to the financial education platform must not be made, directly or indirectly, for any illegal, prohibited, criminal, fraudulent purpose, for money laundering purposes, or as part of any other act considered to be in bad faith by the company providing the services, at its sole and exclusive discretion.

You have an obligation to disclose your full identity.

You may not impersonate another person.

You have not had a rejected request or account closure with our company within thirty (30) days prior to this request for access to our financial education platform.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

To process your request for access to our financial education platform, as mentioned above, the company providing the services must verify information about you. The type of information collected depends on the information you provide and how you use the website of the company providing the services.

You hereby understand and agree that when a request for access to the financial education platform is made, the company providing the services collects the content of the request, communications, and other information that you will provide, including when you create an account, create or share content, or when you communicate with members, officers, administrators, agents, or partners of the company providing the services or send them messages.

This may include information present in the content you provide (for example: metadata) or concerning such content, such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created. You formally consent to all information thus collected being used by the company providing the services in connection with the management of your request for access to the financial education platform and may be transmitted to any other affiliated company, service provider, or related companies for investigation or data aggregation purposes concerning you.

Data concerning you may be part of a database managed by the company providing the services, by any other affiliated company, service providers, or related companies for the purpose of processing and investigating access requests, according to the aforementioned conditions or others, and may be retained for an indefinite period by the company providing the services and by any other affiliated company, service provider, or related companies for this purpose. Data may be shared with public or legal authorities when the law and/or a Court of Justice so order(s).

JURISDICTION OF THE SERVICE REGISTRATION REQUEST AND DISPUTE MANAGEMENT

The company providing the services is a business operating in the province of Quebec in Canada, and any acceptance of the request for access to the financial education platform will be considered to be carried out in the province of Quebec in Canada, notwithstanding your place of residence or notwithstanding the place where your request was made. You consent that, in the event of a dispute, the laws of Quebec and Canada apply and that any dispute be heard in the jurisdiction of the province of Quebec in Canada, in the judicial district of Montreal, to the exclusion of any other jurisdiction and any other district.

UPDATE OF THESE TERMS OF USE

The company providing the services may modify its services and regulations, and it may need to make changes to these Terms of Use. The company providing the services will inform you before modifying these Terms of Use and give you the opportunity to review them before they come into force. Subsequently, if you continue to use the services with the company providing the services, you will be bound by the revised Terms of Use.
